Limitation of testing using multi-meter only

A limitation of multimeter is it can only determine if the co-axial cable is open or not. It does not tell anything about the quality of signal. In some cases the cable runs over miles, video signal may have significant impact if not installed properly and a measuring equipment may be required for testing that is called oscilloscope. Oscilloscope is rather bulky.
